All Eyes On: Mumford and Sons.

Unser Musiktipp in dieser Woche ist das Lied "WInter Winds" von Mumford and Sons, einer britischen Folk-Rock-Band.

Die Band um Sänger und Gitarrist Marcus Mumford fand sich 2007 in London zusammen und erspielte sich innerhalb eines Jahres so viel Popularität in der Folkszene, dass sie beim Glastonbury Festival 2008 auftreten durften.

"Winter Winds", die zweite Singleauskopplung aus dem Album "Sigh No More" landete im vergangenen Jahr auf Platz 48 der UK-Charts und war ein voller Erfolg für die Band.

Diesen Mittwoch, also am 14.04. geben die 4 ein Konzert in Köln. Anna, eine Freundin von mir, hat Karten und wird mir Donnerstag dann alles erzählen :)

All Eyes On: Arctic Monkeys.

Diesen Montag stellen wir Euch zum ersten Mal den Musiktipp der Woche vor. Und in dieser Woche ist das der neue Song von den Arctic Monkeys "My Propeller"!

Die Arctic Monkeys sind eine vierköpfige Band aus dem Norden Englands, die 2002 in Sheffield gegründet wurde. Die Band spielt Indie-Rock mit deutlichen Post-Punk-Elementen. Die Band wurde vor allem durch ihre im Internet veröffentlichten Songs weltweit bekannt. Sie schafften es in England bei Konzerten Stadien zu füllen, bevor sie eine Plattenfirma für ihr Album gefunden hatten. Mittlerweile haben die Jungs 4 Alben veröffentlicht und gewannen einige Awands, unter anderem den Brit Award als beste Band und für das beste Album. " My Propeller" ist die dritte Single-Auskopplung aus ihrem aktuellen Album "Humbug". Darum ist ihr Song"My Propeller" für uns ganz klar der Musiktipp der Woche :)

This monday, we will present you the music tip of the week for the first time. And this week it is the song "My Propeller" of Arctic Monkeys! The Arctic Monkeys are a four piece band from the north of England, founded in 2002 in Sheffield. The band plays indie rock with sharp post-punk elements. The band was known worldwide, mainly through their songs published on the Internet. They made it in England to fill stadiums for concerts before they had found a record company for her album. Meanwhile, the boys have released 4 albums and won several Awands, including the Brit Award for Best Band and Best Album. "My Propeller" is the third single from their latest album "humbug". This is why their song "My Propeller" is our music tip of the week :)

Und da waren es nur noch 5?

Die meisten von Euch werden jetzt wahrscheinlich "Germany's next Topmodel" gucken und mit Spannung erwarten, wer wohl als nächstes rausfliegt. Doch dabei stehn die letzten 5 wahrscheinlich schon fest...

Die letzten 5 Kandidatinnen sind laut diesen Fotos, die auf Bild.de veröffentlich wurden:

• Louisa
• Laura
• Alisar
• Neele

Obwohl ich Louisa und Laura sehr mag und hoffe dass sie ins Finale kommen, kann ich mir nicht vorstellen, dass Hanna so weit gekommen ist, weil sie bisher weder bei den Shootings, noch auf dem Laufsteg wirklich überzeugen konnte. Außerdem wäre laut diesen Fotos Miriam, meine Favoritin, rausgeflogen...

Ich persönlich hätte ja gern diese 3 Mädels im Finale:

• Miriam
• Louisa
• Laura

Und für die besten 5 noch:

• Alisar
• Pauline

Aber da die Hoffnung bekanntlich zuletzt stirbt, hoffe ich immernoch, dass einfach nur 5 von den Kandidatinnen fotografiert wurden und eine andere ( z.B. Miriam :P) woanders war.

Now most of you probably watch " Germany's next Topmodel" and eagerly await who knocked out next. But the last 5 are probably fixed... According to these photos the last 5 are:

• Hanna
• Louisa
• Laura
• Alisar
• Neele

Although I really like Louisa and Laura and I hope they get to the final, I can not imagine that Hanna has come so far, because she really been able to convince either the shootings, nor on the catwalk. Moreover, according these photos would be Miriam, my favorite, kicked out... I personally would have liked to see these 3 girls in the finals:

• Louisa
• Laura

And even for the best 5:

• Alisar
• Pauline

But I still hope that was just shot only 5 of the candidates and one other (eg, Miriam :P) was elsewhere. Who is your favorite? Enjoy GNTM!
